Are you referring to the right service?
- CHITH provides high-level specialist care in the child’s own environment with the aim to limit disruptions to their normal routine such as school to help assist in the recovery process. The service is designed to facilitate early discharge and avoid an emergency presentation or hospital admission where a patient would otherwise require care as an inpatient
- Care is provided by nursing, medical and allied health staff from Gold Coast University Hospital
- CHITH is available for private or public patients under the age of 18 years (0-18yrs) who live within the Gold Coast catchment area
- For patients over 18, please consider referring to Hospital in the Home
