Are you referring to the right service?
- Fracture clinic manages Adult and Paediatric patients
- Timing of first review appointments at orthopaedic outpatient’s/fracture clinic
- if there is documentation indicating adequate alignment and satisfactory initial treatment of fracture – to be seen within 14 days of referral
- all other fracture cases, delayed presentation of tendon and nerve injuries - to be seen within 7 days of referral
- For non acute or non traumatic injuries or Orthopaedic conditions not related to a fracture, please refer to Orthopaedic Service

- Aesthetic or cosmetic surgery
- Disability assessment (refer to HealthPathways)
- Referrals for assessment prior to application for the Australian Defence Force or Queensland Police Service
Out of Catchment
Gold Coast Health is responsible for providing public health services to the people who reside within its boundaries. Special consideration is made for patients requiring tertiary services or for services that are not provided by their local hospital and health service district. If your patient lives outside the Gold Coast Health catchment area and you wish to refer them to one of our services, please indicate relevant medical or social information that will assist with the processing of your referral.

- Reading glasses, hearing and mobility aids
