Gold Coast Health has commenced a 12 week trial of virtual inpatient beds for patients in certain wards to be cared for at home by their treating team.

The patients who are deemed suitable will be considered as inpatients and made aware that they need to contact the service for all their care needs during this time.

GPs will receive a clinical handover once the patient is discharged from the service.
