Practices should aim to delete the Gold Coast Health referral template suite (versions 2013/2019) from software as soon as possible.

A technical issue has been identified whereby these versions of templates are failing and causing investigations to not be received in full by Gold Coast Health, resulting in returned referrals.

Where possible, practices with Best Practice or Medical Director, should send referrals via Smart Referrals.

A generic referral template can be provided as a back-up resource however clinicians will need to review the relevant referral criteria on HealthPathways or the Refer Your Patient website .
