Improved discharge summary format now available

It's now easier to read with pathology and radiology test results available in discharge summaries.

General Practices are being encouraged to sign up for the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) formatted discharge summaries.

Benefits of CDA discharge summaries include:

  • Pathology & Radiology results
  • Easier to read

Mental Health services are planning to send electronic discharge summaries and other correspondence in the future but only in CDA format.
