Thanks to GP feedback, Gold Coast Health moved to 100% paper-free transfer of care for gastroenterology and respiratory endoscopic procedures in July.

Reports are sent through secure web transfer direct to GPs within one day of the procedure.

Patients continue to receive physical copies of letters.

Building on this success, you will now start to see digital automation of reports for urology same-day procedures performed at Varsity Lakes Day Hospital.

We will keep you posted with the next specialties targeted for digital transfer of care automation.

To receive digital communications from Gold Coast Health please make sure your details are up to date in the Queensland Health STS Address Book .

If you would like assistance in accessing The Viewer please contact gcgplu@health.qld.gov.au  and we will visit your practice to support registration and training.
