Is there a particular GP in your practice who receives correspondence from Gold Coast Health for other GPs? This can occur when patients notify the hospital they attend a particular practice but do not specify a GP. To avoid this, practices can set up a generic practice address via Medical Objects or HealthLink by following the instructions below. Practices will need to ensure they have administrative capacity to monitor the generic inbox and allocate to the correct GP.

Medical Objects

  • Contact Medical Objects and ask for a generic provider entry to be created/assigned to your practitioners list
  • Send these details to STS_External-Alerts@health.qld.gov.au requesting a generic provider entry address be created for your practice

HealthLink

If you are happy for one GP in your practice to review correspondence please email STS_External-Alerts@health.qld.gov.au advising the GP’s name and request they be set up as your default GP.

If a GP moves practice please update your STS AddressBook to ensure they receive digital correspondence for their patients
